The first team we put together was the curling team in 2006. Back then we figured that it was the only sport that really fit our collective athletic ability (or so we thought until we actually tried it!), plus there's usually beer at the end of the matches. And nobody really wanted to wear the tight outfits you need for luge...and we're pretty sure you didn't want to see that either.
Now, for the summer we're lacing up for speed walking. Our motto is, "Keep One Foot on the Ground, and Keep Reaching for the Vote." It seemed like a perfect sport for people who live in Washington, we've always been amazed at the speed that the people in this city walk. It's time to put that energy to good use!
